South Carolina school districts have long understood the critical importance of providing work experience to students with disabilities aligned with their post-secondary employment goals. A 2017 amendment to the South Carolina Code of Laws underscores this importance for students for whom an IEP team has deemed the South Carolina Credential to be a good fit. The regulations correspond to the South Carolina High School Credential mandate that students complete a combined 360 hours of work-based learning or training during their high school career.
Getty's D. Broome has created Centurion Creations, an employability class, to help fill the 360 required work-based or training hours. All products featured on this webpage result from hours of hard work from our students enrolled in the Credential program. All profits are reinvested into the program.
