Return to Learn

return to learn
Welcome! Several teams of teachers, principals and administrators have spent the last several weeks talking about the return to school and everything involved, including:
  1. Health, safety, personnel
  2. Scheduling
  3. Instruction
  4. Communications
  5. Logistics
  6. Social-Emotional Learning

Spartanburg School District Three has implemented precautionary measures to protect our students and staff against the possible spread of COVID-19.  These measures include, but are not limited to, limiting visitor access to the main lobby only, cleaning and disinfecting protocols, limiting the number of visitors to school events, and requiring the use of personal protective equipment.  While there are no assurances of limiting the spread of COVID-19, we ask our visitors to be flexible, understanding, and to adhere to these measures.

In an effort of full disclosure and to keep our parents fully informed, we will be providing information daily when notified by DHEC that a student or staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. DHEC will also follow up with contact tracing and provide specific information for the students and staff who are determined to be in “close contact.” According to DHEC, a “close contact” is someone who has been within 6 feet of a COVID-19 positive person for more than 15 minutes. If you are not contacted by DHEC, it has been determined that your child is not considered a close contact.

If you were unable to join for the D3 Virtual enrollment, you can watch a playback of it here.

This breaks down exactly what phases and steps District Three has taken and will take in the next few months to keep schools as safe and healthy as possible.
