EMPLOYEE VACCINATION PLAN SPARTANBURG, CHEROKEE & UNION COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS
In collaboration with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System and SCDHEC, Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union County School Districts are committed to the following plan regarding employees' access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
Upon the implementation of Phase 1b of SCDHEC’s COVID-19 vaccination rollout plan, all school employees will have the ability to register to receive the vaccine using the federal Vaccination Administration Management System (VAMS). Each school district will be assigned a specific date in which their employees can receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the mass vaccination clinic held at the USC Upstate Readiness Center. This site can manage up to 1,000 vaccinations per day, provided it has adequate quantities of vaccines. School districts may designate an E-Learning day for students to allow for the mass vaccination of employees, if necessary. Additional employee vaccination options may include on-site vaccination within school districts or other buildings/complexes convenient to the respective school districts. The totality of this plan is completely dependent upon federal allocation and availability of the COVID-19 vaccine.
