IA/CogAT - Iowa and cognitive abilities test (all 2nd grade and GT nominated students) some students will take a performance task assessment following the IA/COGAT. PSAT as practice for the SAT and ACT and an important guidepost on your college admissions journey. 9th and 10th grades. EOCEP - Given after the following course: Algebra 1, Biology, US History, English II.  MAP measures of academic progress in math and reading (9th) assessed 3 times a year. ACT is optional and must be offered to all 11th grade students during the school day. The SAT is optional and must be offered to all 11th grade students during the school day. Ready to Work (R2W) is a career readiness assessment administered to all 11th grade students to determine student achievement in three key subjects: Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, Reading for Information. The essential soft skills assessment focuses on skills such as problem solving, goal setting, decision making, and self direction, because these skills play a vital role in workplace success. James B Edwards Civics Test is required by all students completing the US Government course.  Spartanburg School District THREE * State Mandated
