Outstanding Educator Award:
Mrs. Tonya McCullough, 4th grade teacher at Cannons Elementary School, was recognized by Palmetto Council, Scouting America as Spartanburg School District Three’s recipient of the Elbert K. Fretwell Outstanding Educator Award! The award honors educators who positively impact students’ lives while embodying the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Broome Wrestling Success:
11 Gettys D. Broome High School wrestlers qualified for the AAA SCHSL State Championships, with five placing in the top four!

• JD Cleapor – 3rd Place (126 lb)
• Colton Fain – 4th Place (120 lb)
• Nick Morgan – 4th Place (150 lb)
As a team, our Centurions finished 3rd overall in the state! Congratulations to our athletes and coaches: Coach Thomas Voelker, Coach Luke Escalante, Coach Steve Carruth, and Coach Drew Deaton.
Broome Bass Fishing:
Middle school anglers on the Broome High School Bass Fishing Team earned 2nd place in the South Carolina State Championship Tournament!
