More than 50 Broome High School students and staff donated blood yesterday to help support The Blood Connection. Since there were more than 30 donors, Broome AVID will receive a grant for $500!
Turnout this year was the highest since 2016. Way to go, Centurions!
Broome High School students had the opportunity today to hear from Lee Ferrell, Director of the Language and International Business Program at Clemson University. Students were able to learn about furthering their language studies in both German and Spanish, study abroad opportunities, and careers in our area where they could utilize their language skills. Thank you, Mr. McAninch, for organizing this amazing visit!

Among the many initiatives she leads is Christmas Assistance, which provides Christmas gifts for more than 650 students each year!

Most recently, during the snow and ice storms, they were the first ones at each building, working to get our schools ready so students and staff could return as quickly and safely as possible.
Yesterday, Cannons Elementary School celebrated them with an appreciation luncheon — and our team even had a visit with D3 "junior members"!

Last week, a group of District Three middle and high school students became some of the first in the state to participate in the iLead Student Leadership training through the Maxwell Leadership Foundation!
This peer-led program focuses on character and leadership skills. It is all made possible by a grant through the South Carolina Department of Education.
Our students will have additional opportunities to grow through this initiative. We look forward to seeing their development as leaders!

The Palmetto State Teachers Association recently hosted members of the District Three Teacher Forum at the State House! During their visit, our Teacher Forum had the opportunity to tour the State House, meet with local representatives, and be recognized in both the House and Senate. Thank you to the Palmetto State Teachers Association for such a memorable experience!
